A MOST PAINFUL GOODBYE

There is no easy way to break the news. Our beloved Bogey left us, to cross the Rainbow Bridge and join the many beings that live in our memories. I cannot quite describe the pain, how broken we are inside, but at least he is not suffering anymore, and will stay with us forever. Wagging his tail. Being mischievous. Being Bogey. Bogey Quit That.

(note added after publication: I normally try to answer every single comment left on my blog. I just cannot bring myself to do it for this post. I love each comment left, but it’s just too hard to address them at the present time)

BOGEY QUIT THAT STRIKES AGAIN

calendar

This is what was left of a beautiful, shiny calendar that came with my new exercise program from Jessica Smith.

Said calendar was sitting over the kitchen counter top.

Bogey Quit That was unsupervised for five minutes. Six minutes tops.

I wasn’t thrilled. Had a little heart to heart with the big boy.

.

Do you agree with my assessment, or should I hope for the best?

BLOGGING HIATUS

I am taking a break from the blogosphere due to the unexpected death of my sister-in-law. We are in Portland, and will head home later this week in a long drive taking a new member to join our family. Meet Bogey, a 6-and-a-half year old Dalmatian, full of energy, and very sweet. We cross our fingers for a smooth adjustment to his new life. He’s been through a rough time.
