For the past year or so I’ve been part of a closed Facebook group for fans of The Great British Bake Off. It is a very nice online community (almost 20 thousand participants) that at the present time is not accepting new members. Recently Christine, the moderator, asked me to make a video with advice for people interested in submitting an application. I decided to share it here also, one never knows if some of my readers have been flirting with the idea of baking in the tent. Thank you for sharing and your encouraging words to those who may be even remotely thinking about applying!!! Having this info, makes it a bit less daunting as to what really goes on behind the “tent”. I too am sorry that the outcome wasn’t what you had dreamed of, but as you mentioned, the experience far outweighs winning!!! I watched all seasons so many times… except the one I was in… watched it once, somehow could never watch again… maybe I will at some point, but the emotions are really pretty hard to “negotiate” 😉

Thank you… Yes, my “brain” understands it but my heart hurts… I know it is silly, but there is a clear feeling of having let myself down, and not lived to my own expectations… (sigh)
